Summary: When Callum tries to get a pair of shoes from the power lines outside the school grounds the stunt almost costs him his life and the school asks for some time out. So his parents decide he should join his father on his annual motorbike ride south. This annual event has been a mystery to Callum, always talked of in hushed whispers or avoided altogether. The prospect of the trip is no punishment for Callum. He's delighted. But the journey turns into a discovery - about his father, his family history, and himself.
