Summary: With his mother dead from scarlet fever, Victor Frankenstein leaves his family in Geneva and goes to the University of Ingolstadt to study natureal science, where he becomes obsessed with the idea of unlocking the secret of life itself. HIs dark experiments lead to success, but he is so horrified by his creation that he rejects it and flees.
